Red Lanterns Haus stands in deep respect on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country. We honour the Ngunnawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we gather, create, and hold one another. We recognise all First Nations peoples with connection to this Country, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We offer a special acknowledgement to LGBTQIA+SB Elders whose courage, brilliance, and care continue to light the way. We honour the unbroken connection to lands, skies, waterways, and community. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
We also honour the artistic lineages that shape our work. The forms we practise today — pole, drag, cabaret, burlesque and the many hybrid expressions in between — exist because of the pioneers of exotic dance who carved space long before the mainstream took notice. We pay respect to the Trans Women, Sex Workers, Strippers, and all those in the adult industry whose labour, artistry, and resistance opened doors for generations of performers. Their legacy is woven through every stage we build and every story we uplift.
